Vetafarm Ivermectin Tablets
Vetaheart is the generic equivalent of Heartgard. Like Heartgard, each tablet contains 272mcg of Ivermectin and treats dogs 50-100lbs.
Administration: Give tablet(s) on the same day of every month.
— For dogs weighing 25-49lbs, give 1/2 a tablet each month
— For dogs weighing 50-99lbs, give 1 tablet each month
— For dogs weighing 100-149, give 1.5 tablets each month
If left untreated, heartworm disease will result in a long and painful death for your dog. Prevention is the smartest and most affordable choice. In the south, year round heartworm prevention is a must.
When used as directed, Ivermectin has a wide margin of safety for most dogs, including pregnant dogs and puppies 6 weeks of age and older. However, dogs of certain breeds may have a genetic mutation that makes them especially sensitive to Ivermectin. If your dog is one of these breeds, and has not been given Ivermectin previously, please consult with a pet healthcare professional before administering this medication.
Ivermectin can be safely combined with flea and tick treatments.
